The Waters That Started It All

Pull up a chart of Kodiak Island's waters and you'll understand immediately why anglers have been making the pilgrimage here for generations. These aren't just good fishing grounds β€” they're among the most productive in the world. The same abundance that draws Orca and Humpback whales to feed here is what puts fish on your line, day after day.

From the protected waters of Ugak Bay, we fish for all five species of Pacific Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, Pacific Cod, Yelloweye, Dungeness and Tanner Crab, and more than twenty varieties of rockfish. The bay's sheltered waters keep conditions calm and fishable when the outer coast is blown out β€” which means more time on the water and less time waiting it out onshore.

And because we're far from any town or commercial fleet, you're fishing wilderness waters. No day-boat pressure. No crowds on the horizon. Just you, the guide, the water, and whatever decides to take the bait.

You don't have to be an experienced angler to belong out here. John and the guides will put you on fish. Your job is to be ready when it happens β€” and it will.

What are you waiting for?
